CONSIDER SERVING YOUR COMMUNITY ON THE CASCADE LOCKS CITY COUNCIL
The City of Cascade Locks is governed by a Council consisting of a Mayor plus six voting Councilors and elected from the City at large. The Mayor's term of office is two years, and a Councilor's term of office is four years.
FIRST DAY to file for Mayor or City Councilor is June 3, 2026.
DEADLINE to file for Mayor or City Councilor is August 25, 2026.
Candidates must have been a resident of the City for a continuous period of 12 months immediately preceding the election and must continue residency during any term of office. Candidates must be registered to vote within the City for 12 continuous months immediately preceding the election. Candidates cannot be an employee of the City unless their position is substantially volunteer in nature. Candidates cannot be a candidate in a single election for more than one elective office and cannot serve simultaneously in more than one public elective office.
