The City of Cascade Locks requires all operators of lodging or sleeping establishments to register and collect transient room tax from all transients. A transient shall pay a tax in the amount of 7 percent of the rent charged for the privilege of occupancy in any lodging establishment in the city. The tax constitutes a debt owed by the transient to the City, and the debt is extinguished only when the tax is remitted by the operator to the city. The registration form can be emailed to the City. All transient lodging tax payments will be paid to the State of Oregon. Please read the State Transient Lodging Filing Information.
