Charter Review Committee

Purpose: The purpose of the City of Cascade Locks Temporary Charter Review Committee is to review and evaluate the City’s Charter and make recommendations to the City Council of the City of Cascade Locks any changes or additions to the Charter. 

Duration: The Temporary Charter Review Committee will remain in service until recommendations are presented to Council or May 31, 2024. This timeline provides sufficient time for Council to hold Public Hearings and City Staff to prepare ballot paperwork for the County by the August 16, 2024 deadline. 

Membership: The City of Cascade Locks Temporary Charter Review Committee shall be made up of seven members of the residents of Cascade Locks. A quorum of the Committee shall consist of four members present at the meetings. A one year of residency within the City of Cascade Locks is a requirement for membership.
