Volunteering

Brochures are available at City Hall. Here is a quick checklist on how to get started as a Fire & EMS volunteer.
  • Complete an application packet
  • Copy of your 5-year driving history
  • Copy of your current Oregon State drivers license or ID card
  • Copy of your High School diploma or GED
  • Take and pass a physical agility test
  • Take and pass a drug screen (paid for and provided by the Fire Dept.)
  • Agree to a thorough background check (paid for and provided by the fire department)
  • Oral interview
  • Complete 6 month probationary period

Consider volunteering with the Cascade Locks Emergency Services Auxiliary: The Auxiliary provides a variety of support to the EMS personnel. Auxiliary members organize fund raising events and activities to help purchase needed equipment. The Auxiliary meets on the fourth Monday of every month at the Fire Station.
